MARKETING THE MARKETERS

In October 2004, Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations played an integral behind-the scenes role boosting Green Power's national visibility by providing on-site media relations support for the Ninth National Green Power Marketing Conference held in downtown Albany.

During the high profile event, organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Center for Resource Solutions, the agency produced a comprehensive press kit, provided on-site media relations efforts and publicized the seminars and panel discussions that were attended by project developers, power marketers, electric utilities, equipment manufacturers, government agencies, energy consultants, and non-profit groups.

POWERFUL RESULTS

By the end of the three-day conference, the agency helped secure almost 700,000 audience impressions from stories that aired on all five regional TV stations, as well as in the Times Union, The Daily Gazette, The Business Review and Legislative Gazette.

EPA officials said that over the conference's nine years that this was the best media coverage they had ever received.
