Rueckert Appointed to Board of American Red Cross
August 4, 2011
Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations, Inc., President Dean Rueckert has been appointed to the board of directors of the American Red Cross Northeastern New York Region for a three-year term.
Rueckert, who has more than 40 years of experience in marketing and public relations, is excited to share his expertise with the non-profit organization, whose mission is to save lives and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The regional chapter serves 1.9 million people in 17 counties stretching from the mid-Hudson Valley to the Canadian border.

"The American Red Cross has a 130-year reputation of providing assistance to those in need and offering training programs to develop and strengthen communities," said Rueckert. "I'm looking forward to being a part of the local chapter and hope to contribute to its continued success."
For the past two decades, Rueckert has overseen the day-to-day operations of his full-service marketing communications firm, which provides advertising, direct marketing, public relations and social media services to a range of energy, retail, manufacturing, finance, sports and healthcare clients.
Prior to founding the agency in 1991, the Art Institute of Boston graduate was vice president of account services for a leading Albany advertising agency, and previously established and managed a full service in-house agency for an international $65 million corporation.
Rueckert, who is active in the community, has served locally as the chairman for the Capital District Youth for Christ for the past 17 years. He is also one of three people from the United States currently serving on the board of trustees for Youth for Christ International, a worldwide Christian movement working with young people around the globe. Additionally, he sits on the advisory board of Capital Bank, as well as the executive advisory board of the American Marketing Association Capital Region Chapter.
