Rueckert appointed to Board of Youth for Christ International:

Loudonville Marketing Executive is Second American to Serve on Nine-Person Evangelical Youth Board

Dean A. Rueckert of Loudonville, president of Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations LLC, has been appointed to the Youth for Christ International (YFCI) board of trustees.

Rueckert, who has served locally as the chairman for the Capital District Youth for Christ for the past 12 years, is one of two people from the United States to currently be serving on the board of trustees. In March, Rueckert will attend his first board meeting in Kigali, Rwanda. Nine other trustees from around the world will join him in Central Africa to discuss the mission of Youth for Christ International.

"In accepting this three-year position, I am looking forward to being a part of an ambitious organization and program that has the power to influence young adults around the world," said Rueckert. "I have the opportunity to bring the perspective of a small business owner to a global organization."

Rueckert's knowledge and reputation as a small business entrepreneur in the Capital Region was a quality the international nominating committee regarded highly. Tapping into this expertise, Rueckert will be working with regional directors from around the world establishing new Youth for Christ Centers.

The mission of YFCI, which has more than 4,500 local staff and volunteers in 105 countries, is to communicate to young people about the importance of becoming evangelists for Christ. It accomplishes this goal by developing training and learning centers with electronic based training and spiritual formation programs.
