Rueckert Advertising to provide advertising & PR services for Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial in 2009
After a highly competitive bidding process, Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations LLC was recently selected by the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commission to provide advertising and public relations to support the 400th anniversary commemorations of the voyages of discovery made by Henry Hudson and Samuel de Champlain, as well as the 200th anniversary of Robert Fulton's steamship voyage along the Hudson River.
During the first phase of the project, the agency will develop a public identity, theme and brand, as well as design a Web site, which will serve as the Quadricentennial Commission's primary portal. Rueckert will also coordinate a major press event with Governor Pataki in New York City that will officially unveil the public identity of the Commission, its mission, and the public support required to make this event successful.
"This is an important account for us," said Rueckert Advertising President Dean Rueckert, noting that commemorations are expected to energize communities along the Hudson River and Lake Champlain. "We're excited to be marketing events that are expected to draw visitors to Upstate New York from across the world to celebrate and honor the legacies of these legendary figures."
Later on the agency will create collateral materials that will be used to entice major corporations to sponsor the Quadricentennial, while also providing ongoing marketing and public relations support leading up to the various statewide events slated for 2009.
