Rueckert Advertising president speaks about advertising trends at AMA round table event
Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations President Dean A. Rueckert recently spoke about the latest trends in advertising at a round table program sponsored by the NY Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
During the presentation entitled "Is Nothing Sacred? Standing Up to An Advertising Marketplace Where Anything Goes," the Loudonville native discussed controversial approaches to reaching consumers, including a 20-year-old man from Omaha, Neb. who recently auctioned off advertising space on his forehead for a month, as well as ads placed on personal vehicles and at the bottom of golf cups.
Rueckert was joined in his presentation, held at Professor Java’s on Wolf Road, by Steve Baboulis, general manager of WNYT-13, Albany’s NBC affiliate.
The NY Capital Region Chapter of AMA provides regular networking opportunities for its 330 members. Its round tables are a fun way for members, as well as the general public, to stay up to date on a range of marketing topics. The local chapter also hosts monthly luncheon seminars, inviting fascinating speakers from companies such as Ben & Jerry’s, Kodak, IBM, Harley Davidson and Nabisco.
