Heidi Weber
Heidi is responsible for assisting with Rueckert Advertising's public relations efforts including writing, client relations, media pitching, event coordination, etc. She has more than 10 years industry experience and is a confident and articulate public relations professional.
Prior to joining the agency, Heidi was a manager at Time Warner Cable's Albany Division in both the public affairs and marketing departments. She was responsible for various forms of intenal and external communications efforts, as well as managing relationships with not-for-profits, business groups and external agencies.
Heidi previosly worked at the University at Albany in the Media Relations office, where she managed press events, crisis communications and pitched national media including The New York Times and CNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews."
Prior to UAlbany, she worked in account management at several marketing/public relations agencies, where her communications client work ranged from B-to-Bs, food, entertainment, travel and tourism, NYS agencies, among many others.
Heidi began her career as an editorial research assistant at The Business Review. She later interned at "NBC's Today Show" while attending graduate school and subsequently worked on the assignment desk (National) at ABC news in New York City and "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings."
She is a graduate of the University at Albany and holds a master's degree in broadcast journalism from New York University.
She is involved with various community and professional organizations including Catholic Charirties AIDS Services, GenNEXT (an arm of the Albnay-Colonie Chamber and Schenectady Chamber of Commerce), and
the Public Relations Society of America (Capital Region Chapter).
